Who hires in Dubai
Much of Dubai's private-sector hiring sits in a handful of clusters. The financial centre in DIFC brings banking, asset management, legal and compliance roles. Jebel Ali and the surrounding free zone are the base for freight forwarding, warehousing and distribution. Commodities, trading and professional-services firms concentrate around DMCC, while media and technology companies are common in the Internet City and Media City areas.
Alongside those clusters, tourism and retail employ large frontline teams across hotels, malls, restaurants and attractions, and aviation supports a long tail of ground handling, catering and maintenance roles. Real estate developers and brokerages, construction contractors and facilities companies round out the picture, so the same week can bring openings for a site engineer, a leasing consultant and a guest relations agent.
Roles you will often see
Sales and business development, customer service, hospitality, real estate and finance are consistently well represented in Dubai listings. Technology hiring covers software engineering, data and product roles, often in companies that serve the wider Middle East and North Africa region from a Dubai office.
Many Dubai roles are open to candidates of any nationality, while some government-linked and banking roles prioritise UAE nationals under Emiratisation targets. Where a listing states a preference or requirement like this, take it at face value rather than assuming it is flexible.
Practical tips for Dubai job seekers
Read the location line carefully. A listing marked Dubai may sit in a specific free zone, and commute times between areas such as Jebel Ali, Dubai Silicon Oasis and Business Bay can be long at peak hours. If you live in Sharjah or Ajman, factor in the daily drive before you apply.
Salaries in Dubai are often quoted monthly and may be split into basic pay and allowances for housing or transport. When a listing shows a range, ask early how it is structured, because end-of-service benefits are calculated on basic salary.
How applying works on Voxxhire
Voxxhire lists two kinds of roles. Many listings are imported from employers' own public career sites. For those, the Apply button takes you to the employer's site and your application is handled there, under that employer's own process.
Other roles are posted by employers who run their hiring on Voxxhire. For those you apply on Voxxhire, and depending on how the employer has set up the role, you may be invited to a short structured interview with an AI interviewer, in English or Arabic. It produces notes and an advisory summary for the employer's team; people at the employer review your answers and make every hiring decision.
Before you apply, check the location, work model and any eligibility requirements in the listing. Voxxhire does not check visas, professional licences or right-to-work status, so confirm those directly with the employer.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to be in Dubai to apply for these jobs?
Not always. Some employers hire from abroad and arrange relocation, while others only consider candidates already living in the UAE. The listing or the employer's careers site usually says which applies; if it does not, ask before investing time in a long application.
Are Dubai salaries tax-free?
The UAE does not levy personal income tax on salaries at the time of writing, which is why monthly packages are usually quoted as take-home figures. Your home country may still tax you, so check your own position if you keep ties elsewhere.
How often is the Dubai list updated?
The list on this page is rebuilt roughly every hour from the live board. Roles imported from employer career sites are closed after they disappear from the employer's own careers site on later checks.
Why does the Apply button sometimes open another website?
Some roles are imported from the employer's own careers site. Applying there sends your details straight to the employer, which handles the application under its own process.
Who decides whether I am shortlisted?
The employer does. Where an employer uses an AI-assisted interview on Voxxhire, the AI's notes and summary are advisory, and people at the employer review them before making any decision.
