Remote jobs

Remote jobs let you work for an employer without commuting to its office, and they are increasingly common in technology, customer support, marketing and finance. Remote does not always mean work from anywhere, though: many remote roles are limited to certain countries or time zones. This page lists the live remote roles on Voxxhire and explains what to check before you apply.

Who hires remotely

Software companies, digital agencies, e-commerce businesses and customer-support operations are the most common remote employers. Many are international companies hiring across several regions, while others are Gulf-based businesses that allow staff to work from home within the same country.

Some employers advertise roles as remote but expect occasional travel to an office or client site. Others are fully distributed, with no office at all. The listing usually says which applies, and it is worth asking if it does not.

Roles you will often see

Software engineering, data, product, design, content, digital marketing and customer support are the remote roles you will see most often. Finance and HR roles are sometimes remote, especially in companies with distributed teams.

Senior roles are more likely to be remote than entry-level ones, because employers often want new starters to learn alongside colleagues in person.

What to check before applying for a remote job

First, check where you can work from. Many remote roles are limited to candidates who live in a particular country because of tax, payroll and employment law. Second, check the time zone. A role aligned to European or North American hours can mean late evenings if you live in the Gulf.

Third, check how you will be employed. Some remote roles are full employment through a local entity or an employer-of-record service; others are freelance or contractor arrangements without benefits. Each has different implications for your residency, insurance and tax.

Applying for remote roles from the Gulf

Gulf residents can be attractive remote candidates for international companies, because the region's time zone overlaps with both Europe and South Asia during working hours. Make that overlap clear in your application if it is relevant. Show that you have a reliable workspace and internet connection, and give examples of how you have worked independently and communicated with distributed colleagues. If you are applying for a remote role with a Gulf employer, ask whether it expects you to live in the same country and whether occasional office days are required.

How applying works on Voxxhire

Voxxhire lists two kinds of roles. Many listings are imported from employers' own public career sites. For those, the Apply button takes you to the employer's site and your application is handled there, under that employer's own process.

Other roles are posted by employers who run their hiring on Voxxhire. For those you apply on Voxxhire, and depending on how the employer has set up the role, you may be invited to a short structured interview with an AI interviewer, in English or Arabic. It produces notes and an advisory summary for the employer's team; people at the employer review your answers and make every hiring decision.

Before you apply, check the location, work model and any eligibility requirements in the listing. Voxxhire does not check visas, professional licences or right-to-work status, so confirm those directly with the employer.

Frequently asked questions

Can I do a remote job for a foreign company while living in the UAE?

Often you can, but it depends on the employment arrangement and your residency status. Some residents use a remote work or freelance permit. Check the rules that apply to you and the employer's requirements before you accept.

Which jobs does this page treat as remote?

It lists live roles that the employer marked as remote, plus roles whose location field says remote. Hybrid roles, which mix office and home working, are not included.

Do remote roles on Voxxhire use AI-assisted interviews?

Some do. Roles posted by employers who hire on Voxxhire may include a structured AI-assisted interview, which works well for remote candidates because you can complete it from home. Imported roles follow the employer's own process.

Why does the Apply button sometimes open another website?

Some roles are imported from the employer's own careers site. Applying there sends your details straight to the employer, which handles the application under its own process.

Who decides whether I am shortlisted?

The employer does. Where an employer uses an AI-assisted interview on Voxxhire, the AI's notes and summary are advisory, and people at the employer review them before making any decision.
