Live results coming soon. This is an early write-up of an active engagement with IIT Abu Dhabi on the candidate-side Voxxhire product. Quotes and outcome numbers below are marked as pending until we have permission to publish them with a named source. We will update this page in place.

The context

IIT Abu Dhabi is the United Arab Emirates campus of the Indian Institute of Technology, one of the most competitive engineering academic systems in the world. Like every IIT campus, placement season is the moment that defines a student's first year out — and the gap between a strong CV and a strong interview is where most candidates lose ground.

The students who reach an IIT have already cleared an extraordinary academic bar. What many of them have not had is structured, repeatable interview practice with feedback that goes beyond "you did well" or "speak louder." Practice on real human interviewers is expensive, inconsistent, and hard to schedule around coursework.

IIT Abu Dhabi became a paying customer on the candidate-side (B2C) Voxxhire product so that students could practice AI-led interviews on their own time, in their own room, with structured signal afterwards.

What they deployed

The deployment is intentionally narrow. This is not an HR or recruiter rollout — it is a student-facing practice tool.

  1. Candidate practice interviews — Students log in and run structured practice interviews tailored to the role types they expect at placement: software engineering, data, product, analyst, and consulting tracks.
  2. Conversational, voice-first interface — Students speak their answers out loud, the way they will in a real interview, rather than typing them.
  3. Structured feedback — After each session students see a structured breakdown: communication, clarity, role fit, and specific moments worth revisiting.
  4. Unlimited repetition — Students can re-run a practice session as many times as they want, which is the part most live interview coaching cannot offer.

What we are seeing so far

We are deliberately not putting numbers in this section until they are independently verifiable. What we can say honestly:

  • Students are using the product repeatedly, not once. That is the early signal we care about for a practice tool — repeat usage means the feedback is worth coming back for.
  • The most common qualitative comment from early users is about the calm of the experience: practicing alone, with no judgement, before doing it in front of a real interviewer.
  • The voice-first format is meeting students where placements actually happen, which in tech in the GCC and India still skews heavily to live spoken interviews.

We will publish end-of-semester usage, repeat-session rate, and student-reported confidence changes here once the semester completes and the university approves the numbers for release.

Why this engagement matters to us

Most "AI interview" stories in the press are about employers screening candidates faster. This one is the opposite side of the same product: candidates getting structured, low-pressure practice before they sit down with a recruiter. We believe both sides need to exist, and we believe the candidate side should never feel like a test — it should feel like a coach.

IIT Abu Dhabi is a meaningful early partner for us for three reasons:

  • The student bar is high. If the practice experience is not actually useful, an IIT cohort will stop opening it within a week. They have not.
  • The region matters. The GCC is a market where we want Voxxhire to be a default name for structured interviews — on both sides of the table.
  • The use case is honest. No one is being hired or rejected by an AI here. Students are practicing. The platform is doing exactly what we say it does: AI-assisted interview practice with structured signal.

What we are committing to publish next

When this page is updated to the final version, it will include:

  • A named quote from a student, with year and program.
  • A named quote from the IIT Abu Dhabi career services team, with role.
  • Repeat-usage and session-volume numbers for the first placement cycle.
  • A short note on how the structured feedback evolved based on student input.

Until then, please treat this page as an early, honest snapshot rather than a finished case study. If you want to see how the candidate practice experience actually feels, the best place is the product itself.

Approved framing

  • AI-assisted interview practice for candidates.
  • Structured feedback after every session.
  • Voice-first, conversational, repeatable.
  • Final hiring decisions remain with employers and their HR teams. Voxxhire does not place students.
